THE INTRODUCTION

For me a write up is a collection of thoughts. And not any random thoughts but those which seem irresistibly beautiful though they are not always perfect. People in general don't find these thoughts important to actually capture them and cherish them. But I do and I feel it necessary to do so cause they flutter across our minds just like butterflies and once they leave ,it takes an eternity to capture them back in those butterfly nets.
                                                                But I decided to treasure some of those beautiful thoughts in this blog before they vanish. To remind you people, the write ups may not be perfect but they are beautiful for sure.My write ups include very general contexts that almost  every person in their lives feel but never either get a chance to open up or are scared to do so.My language is simple and I don't believe that a flowery language would justify any writing just like that rather I believe the message or story line matters the most.

                                            This is just an introduction to my blog and how I am going to make a new start by expressing what some little things really mean to us and to the people around us.Hoping for a great start!!!

Just in case

It’s one in the afternoon,  as bright as a day can get, people all around me, I get into an auto to go home  in a city I’ve lived all my life, I still open maps just in case, then we take a wrong turn, the man says there’s an obstruction,  this road will take us the same time,  says something that I  cannot really trust,  I call dad just in case,  the man jumps to defend himself,  says men of certain communities are unsafe,  you need to be cautious around them,  it’s not all men,  dad calls again just in case,  and maybe the realisation hits him whilst he eats his afternoon lunch,  that he has daughters-  not children but daughters in particular,  and that he needs to always stay watchful,   just in case.

Homecoming

  06.09.2023 Two whole years and today I decided to have the courage to write something down. Write something down that is not meant for an assignment, a research paper or an internship. Something that I felt like penning down. The things I write about aren’t so great and that is the only revelation which does not make me sad. It rather makes me feel empowered about not having to be scared to share my thoughts to the very few people who find it worth their time to read my work.  It has been 566 days since I have decided to pack my whole life in two suitcases and shift to Delhi. It is a place that literally translates to “gateway”. And after all these days, I probably find it to be true, Delhi was my gateway. It was a threshold for me to be an adult and thinking it might be the hardest job I will ever have to take up.
